After Rome’s energy, Tuscany felt like an exhale.
We spent four nights in the heart of Val d’Orcia, staying at the spectacular Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco near Montalcino—a property that feels both luxurious and deeply rooted in its surroundings.
Days here started with leisurely breakfasts overlooking vineyards and ended with candlelit dinners under the stars. The pace slowed immediately—and that was exactly the point.
Our first afternoon included a private wine tasting at the Rosewood winery, followed by dinner at the infinity pool. Watching the sun set over rolling hills with a glass of Brunello in hand is a moment that’s permanently etched in my memory.

Tuscany shines when you experience it hands-on. One day, we explored the countryside on a bike tour through Val d’Orcia, visiting a local farm, enjoying a rustic lunch, and wandering the storybook town of Pienza.

Another day brought a garden and winery experience focused on biodynamic farming—picking produce, tasting wines, and learning what life in Tuscany truly looks like beyond the postcard views.

And then there was truffle hunting. Following an expert guide and an enthusiastic truffle dog through the forest, uncovering hidden treasures, and then enjoying a truffle-focused lunch afterward? Unforgettable.

Each night offered something special—from a harvest dinner in the vines to dining at Osteria La Canonica and Ristorante Campo del Drago. Tuscany isn’t flashy—it’s soulful, grounded, and deeply romantic.

If Rome is a performance, Tuscany is a love letter.
